Dark Pod Necklace

I almost, almost kept this one for myself.

'Dark Pod' necklace -
lampwork glass beads, re-purposed silver plate, vintage chain and a fragment of antique rosary chain

The bead cap is re-purposed from an old silverplate on copper serving tray.

The silvery chain is vintage that I salvaged from an estate sale necklace.
The wee bit black glass chain is from a broken rosary that I also rescued at a sale.

This piece has a design element that I love doing.
The part of the necklace that sits on the back of your neck is very decorative.
So, if you have your hair up (or if you have short hair) it looks great from behind.

I think it's finally finished.
All it needs is a signature and a coat of varnish.

Wild painting day. Big brushes and lots of paint.
Chasing away sadness and death.

Leaf & Berry

How many times have I made this style earring?
Probably 100 plus.
I call them 'leaf & berry.'

Sometimes with the little seeds, sometimes without.
Sometime sterling, sometimes bronze, or like this pair a bit of both metals.

I think the yellow beads are Vetrofond 'banana cream special odd.'
The little transparent green leaves have some random Val Cox frit and were made 'off mandrel.'
The stones are wee hand faceted garnets.

Chained Earrings

I have a new earring design.

Every once and awhile you make a pair of earrings that you just know you will make over, and over, and over again.

So simple, just my lampwork beads put together like rosary chain and hung from an earring finding.

I have a hundred ideas for color combinations.

Really loving this style of sterling leverback.

For all the makers out there - the wire is 18g sterling and the construction is simple 'rosary chain' made with small round nose chaining pliers.

The glass colors are all sorts of blue and green and teal transparent shorts that were in the bowl by my torch. Use your shorts!

In The Unicorn Grove

Currently all I want to make is big charm bracelets.

This one has lots of glass beads and leaves, a sterling silver clasp and bronze links, brass unicorn charms, brite jumprings, one huge quartz bead and tribal bells.

This one makes the best jingle-jangle noise.

Proof that I need stronger glasses for when I am stamping out tags.

Brownie Bits

"Brownie" charm necklace

bone skull, smokey topaz rondelle, lampwork bead and vintage girl scout charm

Ring-a-ding-ding Toe Rings

Here's what happens when you generously bring me a big pile of old jewelry to re-purpose into new jewelry. I pay you back by taking your collection of sterling silver hippie toe rings and making you a super-fun necklace.

I'm not naming names because you might not want the whole world to know about your toe ring thing.

Darling Clementines

"Clementine" bracelet

lampwork glass beads and leaves
vintage rice pearls
sterling silver
bronze

Don't you love it when a clasp turns out just the way you envisioned it?
The little things in life...

I even had enough leftover glass bits to make a pair of matchy-matching earrings.

These beads sat in a baggie next to my workbench for months.

I just felt like the glass was not enough but I just couldn't come up with that extra something I knew the design was lacking.

Whilst wandering around Pinterest I saw this piece of orange crate art.

And I knew just what the bracelet was lacking - orange blossom buds.
I added the tiny white pearl,s on sterling silver headpins, to the design and it was just right.
