Thrifty Britches
Don't you dare waste a scrap of glass.
I use up every short rod, little dinky pile of frit and even the popped off end flakes to make buttons.
I make mine a little differently than most.
They're done off mandrel and the holes are pierced and then flame polished.
The holes are super smooth and rounded, so they will never cut your thread or yarn.
Here's a little strawberry button.
I just put all of these in my etsy shop (SOLD OUT)

Tee Shirts, Posters and Buttons, Oh My
Very few beads but a lot of commercial work this week.
All for an event that's part of this year's Rochester Cocktail Revival.
This looks like quite the party - above is my design for the poster and postcard.
Below is the tee shirt design.
Here are the bits for Facebook and Instagram.
A giant vinyl banner for behind the stage (something I've never been asked to produce before).
Here's a photo of the banner out in the real world.
And lastly, my favorite thing in the world to make - buttons!
Phew.
My butt is flat from so much time parked in front of my computer.

Big Babies
Some really big capped and cored beads.
The cored holes are the standard big hole bead size.
The caps were cut from a vintage silver plated tray with a disc cutter and then domed.

Hippie Chick no.5
Whenever I have enough stray beads I chain one together.
Test beads, earring pairs that don't quite match up, end of the day beads...
they all go into a dish and eventually end up in one of these necklaces.
Easy peasy, there's no clasp, simple rosary style chain links made with 18g bronze.
